We are seeking an Inventory Controller and Planner to oversee the storage and movement of parts, as well as ensure their accuracy and availability.
In our growing Advanced Manufacturing division, the role reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Your Success

The primary objective is to manage the warehouse so that all parts are readily available with sufficient safety stock that meets our requirements. This is necessary in order to meet customer demand and internal requirements and to ensure that our production line is never interrupted. This consists of:

1- Inventory

  • Receive parts from the supplier or store, count or match invoice quantities, and enter them accurately into the system.
  • Label the components with bar codes and position them in the correct warehouse location.
  • Select, bundle, and ship the required components to customers.
  • Pick, bundle, and assemble kits of parts for FIFO (First In, First Out) distribution to the pilot production sub-assemblies and final assembly lines for production and assembly.
  • Register internal transfer transactions in our ERP (Odoo) Cycle count, report stock discrepancies, and assist with the monthly inventory process.
  • Ensure the inventory variance is less than 5% of the stock’s worth.

2- Logistics

  • Maintain the warehouse and make suggestions for enhancing the receiving and distribution of components. Report component shortages and follow up with stakeholders.
  • Adhere to established procedures: As part of ISO 9001, we store all of our processes in a Document Reference System.

3- Procurement / Planning

  • Suggest to the Procurement Manager the Purchase Orders be issued in order to obtain safety stock on time and within the allotted budget.
  • Follow up with our freight forwarder (issues with customs or deliveries).

Your Qualifications & Skills

You have professional experience with Inventory Management. This consists of the following:

  • Electronic and optical component manipulation
  • Standards for Quality (ISO 9001, ISO 26262, etc.)
  • ERP (Odoo, Deposco, NetSuite, LFS, Aptean Catalyst, etc.) systems
  • Education at the university level in Engineering or a related field
