Responsibilities of Government of Canada Jobs With No Experience

• Control access to and movement of personnel (employees, visitors, and contractors) within the building using a computerized access control system and ensure that no unauthorized individuals are granted access to restricted areas.
• Conduct routine internal/external building security patrols and monitor security cameras to ensure compliance with security and health and safety regulations throughout the building and grounds. Investigate identified hazards to building security, health, and safety, communicate them to the ISOC, and report them to management.
• Assume the role of first responder and respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations (fire, flood, chemical, medical, criminal, etc.) by initiating and following established emergency management plans to protect and preserve life, assets, and the facility.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries to ensure the safety of our property and assets. Upon departure from the facility, visually inspect the purses, bags, and toolboxes of personnel to ensure that no unauthorized items have been removed.
• Prepare and submit incident/occurrence reports for incidents relating to security, health, and safety, and communicate and escalate as necessary. Complete daily shift reports and keep a notebook of your recorded observations regarding potential security or health and safety hazards associated with facility issues or employee conduct.

Qualifications of Government of Canada Jobs With No Experience

• A diploma in Police Foundations or an equivalent is required (mandatory).
• Knowledge of the following:
• Security Control Room CCTV systems
• Controlled entry systems
• Knowledge of Security Audits
• Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act
